Special Stamp Issue – "Year of the Dragon" on 14 January 2011
The special stamps on “Year of the Dragon” are designed by Mr. Clement Yick and printed by Cartor Security Printing of France. The stamps and $10 Stamp Sheetlet are printed in lithography plus hot foil stamping, whereas the Silk Stamp Sheetlet is printed in lithography. The “Gold and Silver Stamp Sheetlet on Lunar New Year Animals –Rabbit/Dragon” and “Gold and Silver Stamp Sheetlet on Lunar New Year Animals – A Complete Collectible Set” are designed by Mr. Bon Kwan. The former is printed in lithography plus embossing and hot foil stamping by Austrian State Printing House, whereas the latter is printed in lithography by Cartor Security Printing of France.

Date-stamping Arrangements
A hand-back date-stamping service by the office steel date-stamp and the three specially designed postmarks will be provided on 14 January 2012 at all post offices (excluding mobile post offices) for official/privately-made covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address. All philatelic offices will also provide hand-back date-stamping service by the “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and the philatelic office pictorial postmark concurrently. However, the GPO-1 date-stamp will only be available at the General Post Office.
The public hall of the Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 14 January 2012 to provide date-stamping service by the “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and the three special postmarks.
